Zealous for God

“Zeal for Your house consumes me.” Psalm 69:9

Do you feel zealous for God and the things of His Kingdom? Each day, we face a choice: will we fill our minds with the truth of God’s Word or let the noise of the world take over? From the mundane weekdays to the fullness of summer schedules, we have the opportunity to invite the Lord into every moment and to intentionally seek Him. When we feed our spirit with Scripture and make space to encounter Jesus, our hunger for His presence grows. So does our desire to say “yes” to His calling—yes to surrender, yes to obedience, yes to being His hands and feet in a hurting world. Living for Jesus means living a lifestyle of surrender. Sometimes, it requires real sacrifice by laying down comfort, convenience, or even our time for the sake of His Kingdom. Time is a precious, tangible offering. Whether we realize it or not, we’re always giving it to something. Will we spend it drawing near to Jesus, serving others, and leading hearts toward Him or will we waste it scrolling, hustling, or overbooking ourselves until there’s no room left for what matters most? The way you live, the words you speak, and the way you treat others all flow from the condition of your heart. And what fills your heart will shape your life. If Jesus is at the center, His love, truth, and grace will overflow naturally. When He consumes your heart, zeal for His house will consume your life.  I pray for our zeal to grow each day, for the desires of our heart to point to Christ and for our lives to be marked by a faithfulness that furthers His Kingdom.
