Jesus is the goal

“My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest” Exodus 33:14

A life lived for Jesus, with Jesus. Just as Moses didn’t want the Promised Land if God wasn’t going with Him (Exodus 33), we who call ourselves disciples should not desire anything apart from the presence of the Lord. So often we confuse the titles “Lord” and “Savior,” treating them as if they mean the same thing. Jesus is indeed our Savior, the One who has provided salvation, but He is also Lord, which means our entire lives are meant to be lived with Him at the center, receiving all glory. Through the blood of Jesus, His death and resurrection, we have been brought into a family that can freely commune with the Creator of Heaven and Earth whenever we desire. The veil was torn! We can enter His presence each day, meeting with Him as our Father and closest Friend. And because of this relationship, we offer our lives to Him as worship: honoring Him through our words, how we treat people, how we act, and what we choose to do with the time we’ve been given here on Earth. We were made for God, not the other way around. When we lose sight of this truth, when we place ourselves at the center, life becomes heavy. Anxiety grows, our days feel overwhelming, and the world seems darker than it truly is. But when we sit at His feet, when we choose to abide in Him, clarity and peace begin to fill us. He is our joy. As we bring worship to Him throughout our day, we slowly begin forming habits of devotion that shape us into people who live fully surrendered. This is the beauty of a life lived for Jesus, with Jesus, at the center.
